How do I order a shed, and what payment methods do you accept?

To order, simply contact us.  For commonly ordered sheds, we ask for a $100 deposit before we order the materials to start your shed, with the balance due when we start final assembly on your property.  (For custom orders, we ask for half the amount up front, and the remainder when we start final assembly on your property.)  We don't currently offer financing, but we can accept credit cards.  Please note we don't accept personal checks for payment, and that we do charge 3% extra for credit cards and services like Paypal.  Our lower prices than competitors are only made possible by operating with extremely tight cost controls.  Since we are charged ~3% of the transaction price to accept credit card payments, we must pass on that convenience charge to the customer.  Payment methods that incur us no extra fees, incur you no extra fees :)

You may also contact us to schedule a time to deliver a deposit, and see any existing sheds under construction.

How long will it take to get my shed after I order it?

It depends on how busy we are with prior orders.  Because we don't build sheds all day every day, it will usually take at least a week.  Sometimes, we have recently-completed sheds ready for immediate delivery.  Other times, we already have buyers lined up for the next couple of sheds, which means it can be many weeks.  Depending on the number of people we have available to work on the sheds, we sometimes build more than one at once.  We will provide you an estimate of how long it will take before you buy.

Do you build sheds on site?

Partially.  We frame our walls, cut all our siding & trim, paint and assemble roof trusses & doors prior to delivery, and then we finish assembly at your place. There is no permanent foundation, so our sheds can also be moved if necessary (with the right equipment, that is...they're very heavy!)

Can you get a shed into my backyard through a small gate?

Yes.  We fabricate our sheds in sections, and assemble them at the your place.

Can I get a different size shed than you list?

Possibly- contact us by e-mail or phone.  Permits are required on any sheds larger than 120 square feet, and there are additional costs not only for materials but for permits and transportation.  We usually recommend multiple smaller sheds when possible, which do not require a permit, can be less expensive, and also have the advantage of being more easily moved later if desired.  We've had many customers start with two.  (One keeps adding over the years and currently has four five now situated about their property :)

Is the listed shed size interior or exterior dimensions?

Exterior dimensions at the widest points (the edges of the roof, which extend approximately two inches beyond the exterior surface of the walls)...but not precisely.  Due to our design which seeks to minimize material waste, our sheds run about an inch longer than advertised front-to-back, and about an inch narrower side-to-side (relative to the peak of the shed).

Can I get the shed in any color?

We are happy to paint your shed in custom colors if you bring in your own paint (some folks bring in paint left over from painting their house so they have a perfect match). Otherwise, to save customers money and provide sheds as quickly as possible to our customers, we only offer our sheds in one color scheme consisting of a neutral base color and complementary trim color . See the photo on the previous page for an example (although please note that we change the colors we use often).

Do I need to do anything to prepare the area where I will want my shed to go?

All we ask that you do is make sure the area is reasonably level (no need for perfection - we'll level the shed when we install it), and free of vegetation.
